Best, The time has finally come… after a year of intensive preparation of the unique total project “Heiveld in aquarelle” (heiveld in watercolor) in collaboration with the residential care center Het Heiveld, the icing on the cake comes… an exhibition.
25 residents were painted by me based on photos by Nele Blancquaert, reactivator in the Heiveld. These photos are a selection from the daily lives of the residents. The portraits are intensive, colorful and diverse because they reflect the character of each resident. I also met all residents and/or their families for a personal conversation about their lives and expressed this in a personal text. It was an intensively beautiful experience.
I would like to invite you to discover the 25 portraits exposed for the first time.
The exhibition, which will take place from Friday 28.10.22 to Sunday 6.11.22 in the meeting room of WZC het Heiveld, Antwerpsesteenweg 776, 9040 Sint amandsberg. The festive opening for residents and family members will take place on 28.10. From 29.10 it is open to the public from 2 pm to 5 pm. I will be personally present every afternoon.
