My first medium was pencil, charcoal and pastel. I attended monumental art at the St. Lucas art school in Ghent. From 2010, watercolor became a passion. In 2023 i felt the need to go a step further and started with unique AquaMix compostions. The base is watercolor which i mix with acrylics, pastel, papercollage, tissue, dried flowers… it is a challenge with artistic freedom.

My works are realistic, partly detailed, partly loose. Both living model and photos are a source of inspiration. Tones & values, the game of light & dark and a specific color palette are the defining elements of personal compositions.

Portraits,  figures, animals, flowers, insects, dance, circus, music, exotic cuban oldtimers,… are my favorite subjects. They all tell a fascinating story. And make me feel connected to them. I also paint on demand. A present for a birthday, wedding, retirement, to remember a beloved one. Everything is possible the choice of colors, seize, frame.

My works were exhibited in  collective exhibitions and galeries in Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Sardegna, Canada, Portugal, Bulgaria, Thailand, Indonesia, Romania, Kosovo, Sarajevo, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland, USA, Mexico, Japan and Spain. I also had several solo and duo exhibitions in Belgium. In 2022 a full year i worked on a project, in cooperation with nursery home  Het heiveld, what resulted in a beautiful solo exhibition “Het heiveld in Aquarelle”. 25 residents were portrayed and interviewed by me.

Mijn eerste medium was potlood, houtskool en pastel. Ik volgde monumentale kunst aan het St. Lucas kunstschool te Gent. Vanaf 2010 werd aquarel een passie. Sinds 2023 voelde ik de nood om nog een stap verder te zetten via unieke AquaMix realisaties. De hoofdbasis is Aquarel aangevuld met Acryl, pastel, papier, exotische stof, droogbloemen. Het is een uitdaging met veel artistieke vrijheid.

Mijn realisaties zijn uniek. Deels realistisch en gedetailleerd, deels los. Zowel levend model als foto’s zijn  een inspiratiebron.   Tonen & waarden,  licht & donker en een specifiek kleurenpalet zijn de bepalende elementen van  persoonlijke composities.

Portretten, figuren, dieren, bloemen, insecten, dans, circus, muziek, exotische cubaanse oldtimers,… zijn mijn geliefkoosde onderwerpen. Ze vertellen een boeiend verhaal. Ik werk ook in opdracht. Een geschenk voor een verjaardag, geboorte, huwelijk, jubileum of aan aandenken aan een dierbare. Alles is mogelijk met aangepaste kleuren en formaat en eventueel ook een kader. Mijn werken werden reeds tentoon gesteld in collectieve exposities en galerijen in België, Frankrijk, Griekenland, Italië, Sardinië, Canada, USA, Mexico, Portugal, Bulgarije, Thailand, Indonesië, Roemenië, Kosovo, Sarajevo, Georgië, Ukraine, Polen, Japan en Spanje.  In 2022 resulteerde een jaar intensieve samenwerking met het woonzorgcentrum Het Heiveld in een solo tentoonstelling “Het Heiveld in Aquarelle”. 25 bewoners werden door mij geportretteerd en geïnterviewd.
